The Promises of God Series - "Promise for Eternal Life"

LISTEN TO THE FULL AUDIO VERSION BELOW

It's hard to imagine a world like the one we live in going on forever.

How could it?

To think that crime, sickness, war, hunger, and heartache were all permanent characteristics of the world, and we had nothing to do but face each day with the knowledge of their existence, or worse experiencing them, or seeing someone we know experience them, is devasting to say the least.

It's a saddening thought that many believe this to be true. Many believe that there is no chance for a perfect world and that all we have is this time accorded to us in a world tainted by so many trials and obstacles. And so, for them, hope appears in the form of temporary escape brought on by lust driven relationships, mind-altering substances, or finite moments of success.

But, there are some who believe that there is a chance for more. There are some who believe that this life is not the end. They believe that crime, sickness, war, hunger, and heartache will all vanish away, but love will remain.

I am one of those people.

I believe in the promise that God gives us in Romans 10:9.

"that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9

I believe there is a chance for a 2nd life, an eternal life. And according to the promise given to us by God in Romans 10:9, it is free, and easily accessible for all.

While some doubt the validity of this belief, we see it tested by Blaise Pascal, the French Mathematician & Physicist who laid the foundation for the modern theory of probabilities in his theory known as Pascal’s Wager.

He says in his theory “If I believe in God and life after death and you do not, and if there is no God, we both lose when we die. However, if there is a God, you still lose and I gain everything.”

There is much to lose for not believing in God's promise found in Romans 10:9, but everything to gain.

Please reach out if you have any questions about the promise found in Romans 10:9, or if you'd like more information about how you could put your faith in and accept this promise for eternal life!

I hope you guys have a great week and stay blessed!
